Wedding Thank You Cards + It's a Girl!

I have some good news to share as I am finally feeling better. :) We're expecting a baby girl this December--due date is 12/13/14, isn't that neat?!

I am 23 weeks along at this point. It hasn't been easy, but I know it doesn't get any easier, am I right? hehe It'll be our first child and we have a lot to learn! The baby market alone is overwhelming in itself! I'm just going to take it day by day even though my mind is racing! Suddenly everything feels like it has a timeline that is creeping up quickly!

One of the hardest things for me is gaining weight. I only eat gluten and dairy free foods for health reasons, so it isn't that I don't crave ice cream and pizza but I honestly can't touch it without risking unwanted complications. Sometimes I crave things so badly that it makes me want to cry. It isn't until the logical side of me kicks in that I can calm down. Boy, am I glad I have a few years of experience on this strict diet rather than having to deal with the mental side of things straight out of going cold turkey.

Anyway, this is the long overdue and drawn out wedding thank you card project I've been working on on and off. My good moments these days tend to involve eating and cleaning. I wish there was more time in the day!

They are cut from the Silhouette Cameo--with both sketch pen (for the wording) and blade. You would think it goes quickly, but the clearing off of the adhesive mat is quite a tedious task. I inserted a picture from the wedding in each card and layered vellum underneath, so that when you remove the picture it still looks somewhat clean. I wrote my message beneath the vellum for the same reason.

Wishing you a lovely week,

Blue Letterpress Butterflies Birthday Card

March is a busy birthday month for my family as both my brother and I's birthdays are coming up! I hope this year is better than the last (totally not complaining about last year either)! How does time pass by so quickly?!?

I'm working on simple things at the moment. I can't tell you why I'm in a slumber, but that's the status of my craft life right now. :T Slowly, but surely I will get there. :)

These butterflies were stamped in various mixtures of blues, purples, and off-white ink, then wet embossed with a pearlescent gloss. Sentiment was letterpressed. It's simple, but elegant. The mesh ribbon is actually a bit shimmery too, but it's hard to capture such details on camera.

Daylight savings this weekend--enjoy it... -1 hour!

Baby Blocks Card For Boy + Free Address Labels

This week I was working on getting out birth announcements for Chelsea, my cousin's newborn. They're ready to ship out! Yay!

Design Finch has some free labels for you to use and download as I have used for these 50 birth announcements for my cousin! They're gorgeous and easy to use. Just type into them the info that you need and print it out! The only issue I had was I couldn't save it with my version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.

You may have noticed that these labels have a "from" area. I didn't use them because my cousin already had preprinted labels that she wanted me to use (I put those on the envelope flap in the back), so I just cut them off. They still look very fun though. :)

I also want to show you a card that I made using ribbon that I won from Laine's blog giveaway. :)
The pattern on the bottom is actually the envelope. I couldn't figure out how to photograph it properly. :D The baby blocks were cut out of blue textured cardstock. It's centers are little footsies (pattern paper).

This weekend is gorgeous in NYC. We will be going to the World Maker Faire at the Hall of Science (which is a fabulous science museum in Queens, NY--so many fun opportunities to learn in a fun environment)!
