Pink Cat Studio Stamp and Quilled Flower Card

Hi everyone!

I want to wish you all a Happy May Day (or May 1st)! For those of you who may not know, this is a celebration of spring or for others...protests. lol Let's not talk about that part though. :) This topic leads me to the new Tuesday Alchemy challenge this week which is to create something inspired by May Day! It is a really beautiful day here in NYC to draw inspiration for this theme that is sponsored by Pink Cat Studios. The winner of this week will receive 3 digital stamps!

This is what I have made for May Day:

I used the Lily Holding Flowers digi stamp--chalked it and colored parts of it in with colored pencils. The hem of her dress, eyes, and the centers of most of the flowers are dabbed with liquid pearls. The grass and flower are quilled to simulate her standing in a field/garden.

  3. You did such a wonderful job with her! Your coloring is lovely & I'm quite jealous as I have yet to master chalking. I was happy to see that you had added a quilled flower, too - I love your quilling & always look forward to seeing it.

It was beautiful in Oregon a few days ago. Now, it's cold & wet. What's up with that? It's May for goodness sake!

    Lots of joy,
    Corrinne
